How do I measure for bedroom curtains?

Measure the width of your pole or track first, then multiply by 1.5 for eyelet curtains or by 2 to 2.5 for pencil pleat to get enough fabric for a full, gathered look. For drop, measure from the top of the pole or track to where you want the curtain to finish; floor-length curtains typically look best finishing 1 to 2cm above the floor, while sill-length curtains should end just below the windowsill. A common mistake is measuring the window itself rather than the pole or track, which results in curtains that don't cover the full width.
